Welcome to Claire’s animal & pet portraits

large

Animal & pet portrait artist Claire Harris creates beautiful portraits of animals and pets from photographs. Claire uses fine artist pastels and pencils to capture an amazing likeness of the animal or pet so that the portrait will be treasured forever.

Pastel Portraits make wonderful presents and mementos and Claire provides a personal service to every customer. Gift certificates are available and start from a very reasonable price.

Bristol artist Claire has enjoyed drawing from an early age and has studied art to A Level. Although her career branched into another direction, she never lost her love of drawing and found herself offering to "have a go" at a pastel portrait of her friend's horse ‘Guinness’. She has never looked back! Claire found a hobby that combined her passion for art and animals. She has been producing pet portraits for friends and family since 2001 and is now offering her talent to the wider public audience.

Claire likes to draw any animal or pet from a good clear photograph and she is happy to discuss your requirements without obligation. Claire specialises in animal & pet portraits but she can also draw portraits of people and she likes to draw and paint buildings and landscapes. Claire is currently woking on a project to produce illustrations for a series of children’s books written by Jackie Beard which Claire and Jackie hope to get published.

When she is not drawing portraits of her customer's pets, Claire can usually be found racing across the countryside on her endurance horse Eko, or at home with her husband, baby and Winston the cat.
